Dyson Nurovi R1, R2 and R3: a new robot-vacuum family
Dyson is returning to robot floor care with a three-tier Nurovi family. R1 Nurovi Dry focuses on vacuuming, R2 Nurovi Wash+Dry adds wet cleaning with unusual Reuleaux-triangle pads, and R3 Nurovi Spot+Scrub UV sits at the top of the range with UV-assisted stain detection. This is more than a cosmetic update to an older Dyson robot: the company is creating distinct product tiers and a more automated docking architecture.
R1 and R2: Twin-capture instead of a Pa race
Dyson’s official R1/R2 announcement deliberately shifts attention away from comparing one suction-pressure number. Twin-capture uses the brush bar to mechanically move larger debris while the vacuum path focuses on fine dust. The robots also use extending anti-tangle side sweepers, an acoustic piezo sensor for dust detection and floor-detection technology that can change cleaning behaviour based on the surface.
The user benefit is easy to understand: different debris types are handled by different parts of the cleaning system rather than relying on suction alone. That does not prove R1 or R2 outperform the best Roborock, Dreame, Narwal or ECOVACS products. A fair comparison needs the same carpets, hair, grit and fine-particle tests rather than manufacturer demonstrations.
R2: Reuleaux triangle pads for corners
R2 Nurovi Wash+Dry uses mop pads based on Reuleaux-triangle geometry — a constant-width shape with three rounded points. Dyson combines the shape with an eccentric motion to reach further into corners and along walls than conventional circular pads. It is an interesting mechanical answer to edge cleaning, but whether it beats extending pads, rollers or robotic mop arms from competitors remains a test question.
The dock is bagless and uses eight cyclones to empty dry debris, with Dyson claiming storage of up to 90 days of dry waste. For R2, the dock is also designed to wash the pads at 75°C and dry them with 45°C air. Those are manufacturer specifications; real hygiene also depends on tank design, residue management and how often owners clean the dock itself.
R3 Nurovi Spot+Scrub UV: the flagship
Dyson’s Unveiled pages also show R3 Nurovi Spot+Scrub UV. Dyson describes it as using UV to reveal otherwise hard-to-see stains, with an AI Stain scanner directing cleaning. It is clearly positioned above R1 and R2, but the R1/R2 launch release does not provide a complete R3 technical sheet, so RoboMorrow is not filling the gaps with inferred specifications.
Dyson’s Polish site currently lists R1, R2 and R3 with a “get notified” style registration rather than a public Polish retail price. Some Dyson regional pages indicate late-2026 timing for R1 and R2 and 2027 for R3. Availability and pricing can differ by country, so we do not convert a foreign launch price into a Polish price that Dyson has not published.

- Poland: all three are visible on dyson.pl, but at verification time without a public Polish price.
What we do not know
We do not yet have Polish pricing, a complete local delivery date or independent test data. This is therefore not a review and there is no RoboMorrow score. Nor should R3 automatically be considered the best buy because it sits at the top of the range: running cost, spare parts, navigation, obstacle avoidance and service matter as much as a new cleaning technology.
Once Polish pricing appears, Nurovi belongs in an update to our best robot vacuums guide. For now the editorial decision is to cover the family as a genuine new platform and wait for real availability instead of declaring a category winner from a Berlin launch event.
What we will test when Nurovi actually ships
The useful Nurovi test will not be a comparison of one headline specification. For R2, the key questions are whether the triangular pads genuinely reduce missed corners, how the dock handles dried residue and how much manual cleaning remains around dirty-water components. For R1, pet hair, grit and fine dust on carpet will matter, together with long-hair behaviour around the extending side sweepers. Across the family we will verify mapping under low furniture, reactions to cables and small objects, dock noise, spare-part availability and the real two-year ownership cost. Only that evidence can show whether Nurovi is merely an interesting engineering direction or a competitive purchase in Europe.
