How RoboMorrow rates robots: availability, autonomy, economics and safety

RoboMorrow is created to separate available products from prototypes, and autonomy from remote control. The robotics industry is growing rapidly, but Marketing materials often mix research, piloting and regular sales. Therefore, we analyze each model according to four fixed criteria.

1. Availability

We ask whether there is a realistic offer, price, delivery date and possibility of purchase in Poland or the European Union. “Available” status requires more than a contact form. We also check the warranty, service, parts, documentation, language of the instructions and the responsible entity.

The statuses we use are: prototype, demonstration, pilot, limited sales, product available and withdrawn. The verification date is important because the situation may change from month to month.

2. Autonomy

We describe what the robot does without a human. We separate programmed sequence, teleoperation, continuous supervision, on-demand assistance and full autonomy in a specific task.

We do not use the general statement "the robot uses AI" as evidence of autonomy. What matters are measurable results: percentage of missions without intervention, exception handling and error behavior.

3. Economics

We provide the price of the equipment, but also the cost of transport, integration, materials, service, licenses, energy and supervision. Once the data is available, we calculate the cost per hour or task and compare the purchase with RaaS.

We do not assume that the robot replaces the entire employee. We only count the activities actually performed by the device and take into account the work that is left to the human.

4. Security

We check the mass, speed, force, sensors, emergency stop and intended use of the product. We also analyze privacy, cybersecurity, updates and compliance documentation.

A robot that works well in the laboratory may not be suitable for home, school or shop. The rating is always specific to a specific scenario.

Sources and confidence level

We value technical documentation, legal acts, research and data from independent users the most. Manufacturer information is important, but we mark it as declarations. The demo material is not an independent test.

When price, autonomy or certification data is missing, we enter "unconfirmed" instead of guessing. Updating an article should maintain the change history and last revision date.

How is the final grade created?

We do not create one result for every use. The same robot may receive a high rating as a research platform and a low rating as a home product. We indicate the target user, implementation conditions and the most important risks.

Editorial policy

RoboMorrow may use affiliates, leads and sales in the future, but the sales relationship cannot change the rating. Sponsored materials should be clearly marked and test results should be separated from the manufacturer's message.

What will the reader see in the database?

• availability status and verification date,
• price and information about what is not included,
• autonomy level and operator participation,
• main applications,
• service and legal requirements,
• top benefits, limitations and missing data,
• links to sources.

Grading Scale

In subsequent versions of the database, we will introduce separate results for product maturity, autonomy, economy and risk. We won't add them up without context. A robot with low autonomy can be a great remote tool, and an expensive product can be justified in a hazardous environment.

Updates and Corrections

Each card will receive a verification date. If the manufacturer changes the price, range of functions or availability, we update the data and describe the change. Errors will be fixed explicitly, without removing relevant context.

Custom tests

When we start testing devices, we will describe the conditions, software version, test time and possible availability of hardware from the manufacturer. We will not carry over the result from one dwelling or establishment to all uses.

Information from readers

Robot owners and integrators will be able to report data on failures, service and costs. Anecdotal information is not a substitute for research, but may indicate issues that require further verification.

RoboMorrow Evaluation

The most valuable robot does not have to be the most advanced. The winner is the product that is available, reliably solves a specific problem, has a quantifiable cost and can work safely in the target environment.
