Aiper Smart Yard at IFA 2026: pool and garden together
At IFA 2026, Aiper is asking buyers to think about the garden as one system rather than a collection of separate apps. Smart Yard brings pool care and irrigation into a broader outdoor-automation story. The practical questions are which devices genuinely work together and how much everyday supervision disappears.
Smart Yard, IrriSense 2 SE and Scuba V3 Ultra
Aiper’s September 4 announcement presents the Smart Yard ecosystem alongside IrriSense 2 SE irrigation and the Scuba V3 Ultra pool robot. It describes coordinating compatible equipment using weather and soil information. This is the manufacturer’s account, not our independent test of a complete garden.
An ecosystem name is not a product bundle. Buying a pool robot does not automatically purchase an irrigation installation. A promise of connected equipment also does not establish compatibility with an arbitrary third-party mower or sensor.
IrriSense 2 SE combines a controller, sprinkler and electric valve. Scuba V3 Ultra is described as cleaning floors, walls, the waterline, the water surface and shallow areas from a depth of 20 cm. These stated capabilities establish intended uses, not equal performance in every pool.
Start with the problem, not the bundle
Our approach would be to identify the task currently taking the most time. If that is removing leaves from the pool, assess cleaning performance and handling. If it is watering by hand, start with coverage and the available water supply. A shared app becomes valuable only after the individual devices solve those underlying problems.

A useful demonstration should follow a whole scenario
Rather than viewing each device screen separately, ask for an end-to-end example: the weather changes, a schedule is adjusted, the user can understand the decision and override it. This is our proposed evaluation criterion, not a report of verified behaviour from a particular installation.
Automation needs to remain understandable. If nobody can explain why watering did not run, several connected products can create more troubleshooting rather than less work. Clear fault reporting and manual control matter just as much as an impressive automated routine.
What remains unconfirmed?
We are not treating this announcement as universal smart-home compatibility. Nor are we adding a Polish bundle price or announcing an unnamed new mower. Before ordering, buyers need market-specific sales terms, component availability and a clear distinction between released functions and planned ones.
For households without a pool, the pool-cleaning part of the story should not influence the irrigation budget. Conversely, a pool owner may have no need to replace an existing watering installation. A sensible system can be smaller than the manufacturer’s full portfolio.
The RoboMorrow view
The interesting idea is reducing the effort of coordinating garden maintenance. For a buying decision, we would still prioritise individual performance over the ecosystem promise. Expansion should follow an actual need, not simply another category appearing in an app.
