02 / THE REALITY MAP

What can you hand over?

Six tasks. Different kinds of evidence.
Every capability has a context.

01

Manufacturer demo

Loading a dishwasher

Figure / Helix 02

Manufacturer demo; no basis for a guarantee in every kitchen.

This compares evidence, not product quality. Missing evidence is not proof of inability. Status describes the cited sources, not a current sales offer.

03 / NO MAGIC

Evidence first.
Then excitement.

RoboMorrow Editorial · sources checked on 2 November 2026. This is a review of documentation and source material, not our own hardware testing. Earlier demonstrations retain their dates and are not presented as new launches.

  1. Check the task and exact model.
  2. Identify where a person is involved.
  3. Separate a maker’s claim from customer confirmation.
  4. Do not turn a demo into a promise for every home.

Each correct answer earns one point. Maximum: eight. No weighting, participant rankings or invented percentiles.

04 / CHECK THE SOURCES

Every answer. With context.

01 · A humanoid handles a dishwasher for four minutes. What does the Helix 02 demo establish?

The maker demonstrated a specific task and reports full autonomy.

Figure describes a continuous four-minute dishwasher demonstration without human intervention. That is a manufacturer claim about this demonstration, not a reliability test in every home.

Ask about conditions and repeatability, not just an impressive video.

02 · NEO has an “Expert Mode”. What does that mean?

A 1X expert can provide remote help for scheduled tasks.

1X describes basic autonomy plus scheduled remote assistance for unfamiliar tasks. This implies neither full independence in every situation nor continuous remote control.

Check when a person is needed and what access they have.

03 · Digit moves totes at GXO. What makes this different from a demo video?

The customer confirmed a commercial agreement and work in a live warehouse.

GXO confirmed commercial deployment in 2024. Its October 2026 update describes tote handling and an expanded partnership. The evidence concerns a particular workflow.

Customer confirmation strengthens the evidence; it does not broaden the task.

04 · A WINBOT W2 OMNI finishes one pane. Who moves it to the next?

A person removes it and attaches it to the next pane.

ECOVACS support describes removing the robot by its handle and attaching it again. Automated surface cleaning is not autonomous handling of every window.

Count manual transfers and preparation time.

05 · You see an impressive G1 capability on Unitree’s website. Must your purchased unit include it?

No. Check the variant and the feature’s release status.

Unitree distinguishes G1 from G1 EDU and notes that some sample capabilities remain under development and testing. Appearance does not establish what an offer includes.

Compare the exact configuration and supplied software.

06 · A Roborock S7 stores maps of multiple floors. Does that mean it gets upstairs by itself?

No. In the documented workflow, a person carries the robot.

Roborock’s guide, using the S7 as its example, tells the owner to carry the unit to another floor. Remembering levels and physically moving between them are separate capabilities.

Check software features alongside physical limitations.

07 · Helix folds towels. What conclusion does the August 2025 demo support?

Figure demonstrated towel folding and reported autonomy.

Figure’s publication covers grasping, handling and folding towels. It does not establish a complete wardrobe service or end-to-end washing, drying and putting clothes away.

One task does not prove completion of the whole workflow.

08 · Origin OG-1 finishes walls. Does that make the crew unnecessary?

No. Origin says people map the site and replenish materials.

Origin describes automated compound application, sanding and priming, with crews handling mapping and materials. This is the maker’s account of specific finishing workflows.

Separate an autonomous work step from running the whole deployment.
