Pa, temperature and thresholds: how to read robot specifications
A specification states what the manufacturer claims under defined conditions. It does not provide a shared cleaning result across brands. For each number, add what was measured, which variant and setting were used and where the footnote is. This prevents comparing mop-washing temperature with floor temperature or a two-step obstacle with one threshold.

Pa: suction pressure does not replace a floor test
Roborock states up to 36,000 Pa for Saros 20 and Dreame states 35,000 Pa for X60. These are manufacturer claims under their own conditions, not a shared measurement of collected debris. Assess your home’s result through the job: debris type, brush, settings, carpet and touch-ups. Do not turn the Pa difference into a percentage of “better cleaning”.
Temperature: identify where it applies
The Saros 20 and X60 pages describe dock mop washing with water up to 100°C. That does not mean continuous floor mopping at that temperature. Check the mode description and footnotes; the number alone does not establish whole-floor sterilisation. For sensitive flooring, follow the flooring manufacturer’s care instructions and the robot’s permitted operating method.
Thresholds: single and double-step are different obstacles
Dreame describes up to 4.5 cm for an X60 single step and up to 8.8 cm for a double-step arrangement. Roborock describes 4.5 + 4.3 cm for Saros 20 in a specified configuration. Also record obstacle spacing and shape. Without matching conditions, you cannot conclude that the robot will cross your threshold.
Height and variant: read the full name
The manufacturer lists X60 at 79.5 mm with the sensor retracted and 102.8 mm extended. Saros 20 has a 79.8 mm body, while its 79.5 mm passage claim includes special conditions and a scratching warning. Neither number justifies an exact-clearance purchase. Also record Complete, dock variant and country in the offer; a similar name may describe a different bundle.
Your recording sheet
Copy these fields into your notes. Mark missing data as “unconfirmed”, not as a zero result.
| Field | What to record |
|---|---|
| Pa | Maximum, mode and method; no conversion to a cleaning score |
| Temperature | Dock mop washing or operation on the floor? |
| Threshold | Single or double-step, with what spacing? |
| Height | Body, sensor position and required clearance |
| Offer | Full variant, accessories, country and date |
Questions before deciding
Does a larger number always mean a better choice?
No. Establish the job and comparable conditions first.
Are these RoboMorrow measurements?
No. The figures above are attributed claims from official manufacturer pages.
