Agility Digit
If the question is “which humanoid has some of the strongest public evidence of paid real-world work?”, Agility Digit belongs near the top of the list. There is no public online price, but Agility publishes deployments, operating results and an enterprise software layer: Digit works in logistics and manufacturing while Arc manages fleets and integration with facility systems.
Digit is not sold like a gadget. It is deployed like automation
Agility routes customers through a deployment process: solution assessment, on-site validation, integration, rollout and support. That is fundamentally different from an online checkout. Because no public MSRP is available, RoboMorrow classifies Digit as C — ENTERPRISE SALES. The absence of a list price does not mean the platform is immature; it means economics are defined at workflow and contract level.
The operational specifications that matter
Agility lists a 35 lb carrying capacity, roughly 15.9 kg, and up to four hours of battery operation. Digit is designed for continuous-shift workflows through fleet and charging management. Recent versions add autonomous docking, expanded safety functions and end effectors intended for industrial handling.
These are not athletic-record specifications. For a facility they are more useful: they determine which containers the robot can move, how charging is scheduled and how easily it fits into existing flows.
Arc is half the product
Agility Arc is the cloud workflow-control layer powering Digit deployments. It provides fleet monitoring, task assignment, productivity metrics and integration with WMS, WES, MES and other mobile automation. This is an important distinction: the buyer is acquiring a process-automation system, not simply a bipedal machine.
What do real deployments demonstrate?
Agility cites commercial programs with GXO, Schaeffler, Toyota Manufacturing Canada and Mercado Libre. It has also reported moving more than 100,000 totes in a single deployment. In material connected with its proposed public listing, the company reported more than 65,000 robot operating hours and more than $300 million of multi-year contracted Digit v5 orders, subject to contractual milestones.
That is stronger evidence than a single successful demo. It is still not a full comparative benchmark: public data does not provide intervention rate, OEE, cost per tote move or simultaneous active fleet size for every customer.
Production scale: RoboFab
Digit is built at RoboFab in Salem, Oregon. Agility says the facility has peak capacity of up to 10,000 robots per year. Capacity is not current production and should not be reported as 10,000 annual deliveries. It does show that industrialization has been designed into the program.
Autonomy and safety
Agility describes Digit as a fully autonomous tool for defined workflows, but autonomy here means configured processes rather than arbitrary general-purpose work. The company is also advancing cooperative safety with safety PLCs, E-stops, CAT1 stopping and FSoE. Standards for dynamically stable industrial mobile robots continue to evolve, so a real deployment requires application-specific safety analysis.
Who is Digit for?
- logistics sites with repetitive tote movement,
- factories that need to connect islands of automation,
- organizations with WMS/MES and integration resources,
- buyers willing to measure ROI at process level rather than by robot sticker price.
The most important procurement question
Do not stop at “what does Digit cost?”. Ask for task-level deployment cost, minimum fleet assumptions, SLA, service model, average intervention frequency, recovery time after faults and throughput in your exact workflow. Only then can a humanoid be compared fairly with an AMR, conveyor or fixed automation cell.

Why 100,000 totes matters — and what it does not prove
Agility has an advantage over many humanoid programs: it can point to repetitive material-flow work in real customer sites. More than 100,000 totes moved in a single deployment is therefore meaningful process evidence. It does not mean Digit is a general robot that can take over arbitrary human jobs without preparation. The result comes from a defined workflow, suitable containers, infrastructure and Arc integration.
The same caution applies to more than 65,000 robot operating hours and multi-year contracted orders. They demonstrate commercialization, while economics still depend on contract structure, service, throughput and robot availability. RoboFab's stated peak capacity of up to 10,000 robots per year describes manufacturing infrastructure; it must not be reported as current production or sales.
Digit versus an AMR or conveyor
A humanoid becomes attractive when existing infrastructure was designed for people and changing that infrastructure would be expensive. If a task is only a flat route between fixed points, a simpler AMR may be cheaper and easier to maintain. A credible business case should therefore compare total process cost rather than the visual appeal of a humanoid form factor.
