Galbot G1
Galbot G1 is positioned by its maker as a general-purpose humanoid robot, but its lower body is not bipedal. It moves on a four-wheel omnidirectional chassis, making it closer to a mobile manipulator with a humanoid upper body than to a walking machine such as Unitree G1. That is not necessarily a weakness: in warehouses, pharmacies and retail, wheels can be more efficient, stable and energy-efficient than legs.

Why wheels can be an advantage
A humanoid shape matters where a robot must interact with spaces and tools designed around human reach. Legs help with stairs, uneven ground and elevation changes, but they add control complexity, energy use and fall risk. G1 chooses a different compromise: the mobile base handles efficient movement across flat floors while its arms, body geometry and long reach interact with shelves, totes and equipment.
That fits the use cases Galbot describes: retail, pharmacies, industrial work and front-end warehouses. Reuters described G1 as a warehouse assistant at WRC 2026. This does not prove that every demonstrated capability already runs unattended in production. The database card therefore separates published hardware specifications from the scale of real deployments.
Perception and compute
G1 carries a substantial sensor suite: stereo vision in the head, RGB cameras on the body, depth and six-axis force sensing at the wrists, plus 3D LiDAR in the base. The NVIDIA AGX Orin 64 GB platform is specified at 275 TOPS. TOPS alone says little about the quality of the control model; latency, training data, Wi-Fi-loss behaviour and failure recovery matter more. Galbot also provides an SDK and developer documentation, which is useful for integration work.
Safety documentation keeps the Marketing in perspective
Galbot’s manual tells personnel to keep at least 1.5 metres from the robot during operation and specifies indoor use under appropriate conditions. It warns against uneven roads, standing water, unstable Wi-Fi and proximity to moving joints. G1 includes an emergency-stop button. Those details matter because “general-purpose robot” Marketing language can imply more freedom than the operating instructions currently allow.
Eight hours of operation — with an important footnote
Eight hours sounds strong for this class of machine, but Galbot states the figure comes from comprehensive laboratory data at an average speed of 60%. We do not know the runtime during continuous payload handling, heavy arm use, sustained compute load or frequent acceleration. It is one of the most important figures to validate in a real deployment.
Price and availability
Galbot does not publish a normal retail price for G1 on the pages we verified. The developer documentation directs secondary-development inquiries to sales. RoboMorrow therefore treats G1 as an enterprise/contact-sales platform rather than a consumer robot with a public price list. We found no confirmed regular Polish distribution or broad EU retail availability.
Who it suits
G1 is primarily relevant to integrators and businesses exploring automation in flat, structured spaces: warehouses, pharmacies, stores and selected industrial processes. It is not currently a normal home purchase. Its potential strengths are simple wheeled mobility, reach and runtime; its limitations include no stair walking and publicly unproven reliability across multi-shift deployments.
