One robot mower for two lawns: a channel or manual transport?
First establish whether the mower can travel safely between the lawns. Then check the number of zones supported in the app. Multiple zones organise a map; they do not remove steps, a locked gate or a road separating the garden.

A documented example, not a universal feature
The Navimow i2 LiDAR Pro manual requires carrying the mower into an isolated zone and back for charging; isolated zones support one-time tasks. This should not be presented as an unattended recurring schedule for a disconnected lawn.
Ask for a demonstration of that exact scenario: starting in a disconnected area, finishing and preparing the next task. If a supplier proposes a second station, verify model compatibility, maps and the relocation procedure. Being able to purchase a station does not establish support for two bases in one installation.
Count transport across a week
In an illustrative example, the distant lawn needs three sessions weekly. Each needs an outward and return carry: six transport legs. At four minutes per leg, including walking, lifting and placing the mower, that is 24 minutes a week before app operation and cleaning. This is a worked example, not a measured garden result.
Account for machine weight, steps and the manufacturer’s designated lifting method. Power off before transport as instructed and do not hold cutting components. If moving the mower is inconvenient, mapping will not remove that obligation.
Rated area versus available working time
Two 300 m² lawns total 600 m², but the mower may not have the whole day available. It needs to reach the second area, return for charging and work within agreed hours. Plan the week by zone, session, person responsible for transport and allowance for weather.
When two machines deserve consideration
Compare the second machine’s cost with the real transport workload and missed-task risk. Independent installations can make sense with frequent mowing and difficult access, but need two charging locations and two machines to maintain. Do not decide solely from the combined square metres.
You are ready to choose when you can describe a complete working week for both lawns. If the plan depends on a person being present, state that explicitly in the quote comparison and household schedule.
