Lely Discovery Collector collects manure from a suitable solid barn floor. It should not be equated with every Discovery model or a robot designed for slatted floors. Floor compatibility, routes and unloading arrangements are central to the design. The photograph shows the Collector C2 variant.

Assess it where solid-floor manure handling requires regular work and the building can meet system requirements. At a reference farm, examine gates, turns and operation around animals.

Limits and deployment conditions

Confirm bedding, thresholds, drainage, unloading and daily maintenance. Vehicle width alone does not define manoeuvring space. A photograph of a new installation does not establish compatibility with an older barn.

Assess the route to the unloading point and access for cleaning and charging. Check whether animal movement obstructs the planned passes.

2. How does it pass through gates and unload?
3. How much time is spent cleaning the robot itself?

What the quotation should contain

Request equipment, options, commissioning, training and support as separate quotation items. Define farm and service responsibilities and the fallback during a stoppage. Compare the complete process with the present method. A missing profile price means no verified comparable quotation, not a free machine.
