PUDU MT1 vs MT1 Vac: sweeping or vacuuming?
PUDU MT1 and MT1 Vac address different dry-cleaning jobs. Start with the floor and the material that must be collected. A headline coverage figure does not establish whether a machine suits your carpet, loose debris or everyday dust.

Differences to examine during a demonstration
PUDU presents MT1 primarily as a sweeping robot with a 35 L debris bin. MT1 Vac combines sweeping, vacuuming and dry dust mopping; its specifications list a 6 L debris bin and 14 L of dust-bag capacity. These are different collection components, so their combined volume should not be presented as a bin equivalent to MT1’s.

Spot coverage is not a full-area pass
MT1’s page separates a maximum standard-mode figure of 1800 m²/h from 6000 m²/h for spot cleaning. MT1 Vac lists a maximum of 1400 m²/h. These are not results from a shared test on the same floor. A machine targeting selected dirt can bypass clean floor that a complete pass must cover.
Compare the same area, similar initial dirt and the same required finish. If a quotation supplies one large number without a mode, ask for the conditions. Establish whether it includes travel, repeated passes, charging and collection-system handling.
A useful site trial
- Select a representative zone with everyday obstacles and flooring changes, not just an empty corridor.
- Record ordinary debris permitted by the instructions. Do not introduce unknown or hazardous dust for a demonstration.
- Agree an acceptance standard: remaining visible debris, edge condition and the amount of manual rework.
- Measure staff handling minutes, interventions and total task time separately.
- Include emptying, consumables and preparation for the next shift.
Bags and filters belong in the operating plan
A larger capacity does not always mean less frequent attention. Debris volume and type matter, as do maintenance instructions. Obtain part numbers, supply availability, daily-care procedures and responsibility for servicing. A filter-class label alone does not establish that the complete machine is suitable for specialist dust remediation.
Keep results by zone. A machine may perform well on open hard flooring yet demand more attention where narrow aisles meet rugs or floor transitions. An average across the building can conceal the part of the job that still needs a person.
A mixed site: 1,000 m² of hard floor and 300 m² of carpet
In this illustrative site, one total area hides two jobs. The hard floor may need dry crumbs and small debris collected, while the carpet requires dust removed from its structure. Instead of selecting a machine for 1,300 m², define separate acceptance checks for the two areas. Record the transition, thresholds and turning points too.
If one machine takes over only part of the work, the remaining task belongs in the comparison. A robot that sweeps the hard floor successfully may still leave carpet vacuuming to another appliance. A model with vacuuming may add filtration consumables and maintenance. That is not inherently a weakness, but it is part of the operating scope.
Do not combine different collection compartments
A larger-debris bin and a dust bag are not a single interchangeable container. During the trial, record which component needs emptying or replacement and after which task. If the bag becomes the limiting factor before the bin, unused space in the bin does not remove that interruption.

Three requirements for a demonstration proposal
First, the supplier performs the full task in a representative area, with spot cleaning assessed separately. Second, they provide the parts and consumables list for the exact variant. Third, they identify the maintenance tasks assigned to site staff and those requiring service personnel.
Finish the demonstration with a useful decision: one machine covers both areas, takes over a defined part, or fails to meet the requirement. Each is more informative than a general statement that a robot suits large premises.
Buying decision
Consider MT1 for a sweeping task involving larger quantities of dry debris. Investigate MT1 Vac where vacuuming is a central requirement, including carpet approved for the machine. Make the final choice using a trial on your floor and the resulting handling workload. The quotation should identify the exact robot and station equipment; the MT1 family name is insufficient.
