NEURA 4NE1 Gen 3.5 stands out not only as a European humanoid project but also because it has an unusually transparent reservation path. NEURA accepts a refundable €100 reservation, gives an estimated €98,000 price for 1–19 units and €60,000 at 20+ units, and says Gen 3.5 is expected to become available at the end of 2026.
A reservation is not a delivery — but it is more concrete than “contact us”
The €100 fee secures a queue position, is stated as fully refundable and should be credited toward the final purchase price. NEURA also warns that design and hardware details may be refined before release. RoboMorrow therefore classifies 4NE1 as B — RESERVATION, not BUY NOW.
Industrial and commercial quantities use a separate sales path. The estimated €60,000 price at 20+ units is an important signal about scale economics, but it is not a turnkey deployment quote: integration, service, end effectors and configuration can materially change total cost of ownership.
What does Gen 3.5 represent?
4NE1 is roughly 180 cm tall and around 80 kg. NEURA highlights 360-degree perception, sensor skin, multimodal interaction and speed up to 5 km/h. Gen 3.5 is intended to connect with Neuraverse plus NEURA Sync, NEURA Gym and digital-twin tooling. The reservation material references Python, ROS 2 and C++ interfaces as well as teleoperation.
For an integrator, the important point is that NEURA is not selling only a body. The company is building a common environment for multiple robot classes, AI models and skills. In theory this can reduce application-development cost across a larger fleet; in practice it will need to be tested after Gen 3.5 deliveries begin.
Why does European origin matter?
Not because it automatically guarantees compliance for every future application. It matters operationally: the manufacturer and a large part of the ecosystem are located in the EU, which can simplify service communication, documentation and integrator cooperation. Final safety responsibility still depends on the configured application.
The EU Machinery Regulation becomes applicable on 20 January 2027. AI Act obligations may also apply depending on the role and use case. An enterprise buyer should therefore ask not just for a CE declaration for the robot but also who is responsible for conformity of the integrated application.
Autonomy and teleoperation
4NE1 is positioned as a cognitive humanoid connected to Neuraverse, but AI, SDK access and teleoperation do not translate into one universal “autonomy percentage.” Procurement teams need task-level evidence: what runs autonomously, what requires a remote operator, how exceptions are handled and whether skills are validated on the exact ordered configuration.
Who should consider 4NE1?

- Labs and integrators that value ROS 2/Python/C++ access and teleoperation.
- Potential fleet buyers for whom the 1–19 versus 20+ unit economics matter.

What should a pilot proposal contain?
Ask for a frozen hardware configuration, sensor and hand list, software version, stated runtime, network requirements, Neuraverse scope, delivery schedule, SLA, spare-parts process, safety procedures and reservation/cancellation terms. At this price level, those details can matter more than a spectacular demo.

How should the €98k and €60k figures be read?
NEURA's published estimates should not automatically be treated as complete deployment cost. A fleet buyer needs to clarify whether the price includes hands, the exact sensor package, compute, Neuraverse licensing, integrator training, freight, commissioning and SLA. The attractive €60,000 figure at 20+ units only becomes meaningful once minimum volume, delivery cadence and infrastructure costs are known.
The refundable €100 reservation reduces the risk of joining the queue, but it does not yet freeze every final-product parameter. NEURA explicitly reserves room for design and hardware changes. Procurement teams should therefore request a version-controlled specification when converting a reservation into a purchase agreement.
Europe: a potential service advantage, not a regulatory shortcut
Having the manufacturer in the EU may simplify documentation, spare parts and direct integrator cooperation. It does not remove the need for an application-level risk assessment. If the humanoid receives a new tool, AI model or access to a shared worker area, responsibility must be analysed for the final machine and process rather than assumed from the robot's origin.
