RoboMorrow editorial illustration: WINBOT W3 OMNI vs Dreame C1 Station: what does the station do?

WINBOT W3 OMNI or Dreame C1 Station? Start with what happens between panes. ECOVACS describes a W3 OMNI station that washes the wiping pad. Dreame’s C1 station provides power, cable handling and portability; its documentation lists washable cloths but does not describe automatic pad washing at the station. The word “Station” therefore covers different maintenance routines.

This is a comparison of documentation and workflow. We have not performed a shared test of stain removal, corner cleaning or safety.

Count separate panes before square metres

Two large panes and twelve small panes can have a similar area. The latter require more transfers, cable positioning and attachment checks. This is our workflow model, not a manufacturer benchmark. List each pane, its access from indoors and a way to secure the equipment according to its manual.

W3 deserves closer consideration when washing or repeatedly changing dirty pads is your main frustration. C1 Station deserves consideration when portability, cable management and a prepared supply of clean cloths matter more. A longer station feature list does not settle that trade-off.

A worksheet for one complete session

StageRecord for both systems
PreparationSetup time, solution, connections and securing the equipment
First paneMode, robot time, streaks and manual corrections
Later panesNumber of transfers and hands-on pad care time
FinishCleaning, drying components and putting everything away

Record elapsed time from unpacking to storage separately from hands-on minutes. Automatic pad washing may overlap another task; do not count the same minutes twice. Use the same panes, comparable soiling and the same acceptance standard for your own comparison.

Surface compatibility and safe access

Do not transfer C1 specifications to C1 Station, or W2 specifications to W3, merely because they look similar. Check the exact manual for minimum pane size, surface type and angle, securing requirements and cable reach. Advertised suction figures cannot replace those checks. Exclude applications that would require leaning out or working beyond safe access.

What belongs in a comparable offer?

Ask for the complete variant name, distribution market, cloth count, solution, station accessories and local service information. Establish whether the offer includes the complete system. Different countries and different accessory bundles cannot be reduced to one fair headline price comparison.

Decision: choose around the part of maintenance that costs you most effort. If you do not know your washing, transfer and correction time, complete the worksheet first. A generic ranking cannot supply those three figures.
