HOBOT SP10 vs S7 Pro: differences and buying guide

Specification comparison, updated 7 September 2026. We have not run a shared hands-on test. The table uses HOBOT's official comparison; the practical points are questions to verify on your own glass.

Investigate HOBOT SP10 when its larger tank and higher stated suction matter. S7 Pro is lower and has the shorter stated time per square metre, while HOBOT also highlights two ultrasonic spray nozzles and reciprocating pads. Specifications alone cannot establish streaking, corner results or safe operation on a particular pane.

The central difference is how they work against the glass

SP10 uses active scraper blades intended to press against and collect contamination. HOBOT describes S7 Pro through 600 reciprocating pad movements per minute and two ultrasonic nozzles. They are different approaches. Without an equivalent trial, there is no fair basis to declare which leaves fewer streaks after dried deposits, dust or greasy marks.

Define the main problem before ordering: large dusty glazing, small panes, rain marks or indoor grease. Ask for a demonstration on similar glass and inspect how much hand finishing remains along edges.

Pane size and window geometry

The official table gives SP10 the smaller minimum surface. That can matter in a home with many small panes, but it does not mean compatibility with every window. Frames, seals, film, texture, curves and gaps can change operating conditions. The exact model's manual takes priority over a Marketing summary.

Measure the clear pane in both directions and count individual sections. The robot must be moved to each one. With numerous small panes, operator time can outweigh the 0.4-minute-per-square-metre catalogue difference.

Safety is not an optional feature

HOBOT lists up to 20 minutes of emergency power and a safety tether for both models. UPS is not a normal battery-cleaning mode; it is a window in which to recover the device safely. Use only the attachment method prescribed by the manual, inspect the tether and do not leave a robot uncontrolled where a fall could cause harm.

A useful comparison protocol

  1. Use the same pane and equivalently contaminated sections.
  2. Prepare clean pads and approved solution according to each manual.
  3. Record setup, cleaning, transfer and manual-finishing time.
  4. Inspect streaks in daylight from the same angle and photograph edges separately.
  5. Run at least three repetitions and alternate device order.

Buying conclusion

On paper, SP10 has the clearer case for smaller panes, tank capacity and stated suction. S7 Pro deserves a trial when its lower body and reciprocating pad system address your priorities.
