What makes this model different
The new mini generation combines local LiDAR mapping with vision instead of relying entirely on RTK. That matters between tall buildings and under trees. AWD is the core advantage over lighter mowers, while an edge disc reduces trimmer work.
What ownership looks like
No buried wire is required, but owners still place the dock, drive boundaries and validate every zone. Early cuts should be supervised on dry grass. Branches, cones, toys and stones still need removal.
Strengths
Traction, multi-zone maps, operation where GNSS alone struggles and extensive automation are the strengths. On a sloped plot it can be materially more useful than a simpler mower with the same nominal area.
Limitations and risks
AWD can mark soft turf and turn aggressively if configured poorly. Water and drop edges require a generous buffer. Algorithm updates can change behaviour, while cameras and 4G add privacy and post-included-period subscription decisions.
