Roborock RockNeo Q105: price, specs and 500 m² lawn class

Verified 26 August 2026. Roborock RockNeo Q105 is the entry model in the new Q1 garden family, designed for lawns up to 500 m². Its key value is not just area capacity: Q105 is meant to be an accessible wire-free mower using full-band RTK + VSLAM positioning and stereo vision for obstacle perception. RoboMorrow has not physically tested this model, so terrain and productivity figures remain manufacturer data.

RockNeo Q105 at a glance

Think of it as Q1, not as a cheap Z1

Q105 belongs to a different product class from RockMow Z. It uses 2WD and is primarily intended for small, moderately difficult gardens. Roborock states slope capability up to 45% and passages from 0.7 m, but that should not be read as a replacement for AWD on slippery slopes. If the lawn has serious gradients, ruts or sections where traction is continuously difficult, the Z1 family is the more appropriate comparison.

Wire-free navigation: RTK + VSLAM still needs a good installation

Sentisphere Environmental Perception combines full-band RTK with VSLAM. Roborock claims centimetre-level positioning and more stable operation under trees and in complex corners. That is attractive for a perimeter-wire-free garden, but it does not mean RTK works equally well everywhere. The reference station still needs a sensible location, and buildings, dense trees or poor sky visibility can affect positioning. Test the hardest part of the property before committing to the final station location.

Stereo Vision and garden clutter

Q1 uses stereo vision to identify toys, tools and other objects on the lawn. In a small garden this can matter more than a generic AI label because the mower regularly encounters furniture, balls, hoses or children's items. Roborock also offers a wildlife-friendly schedule that pauses mowing during selected hours. That is useful, but it does not remove the need for a sensible schedule; avoiding night mowing remains the safer approach around hedgehogs.

Cutting and edges: 22 cm, 20–60 mm, plus a PreciEdge catch

Q105 uses a 22 cm cutting width and 20–60 mm height adjustment. Unlike the S1 family, Q1 cutting height is adjusted manually on the mower rather than electrically in the app. PreciEdge, advertised as reaching to roughly 3 cm structural distance from the boundary, is an optional module on Q1. That matters when comparing package prices: do not assume every image showing PreciEdge means the accessory is included with a standard Q105.

Battery and working pace

Q105 has a 4 Ah battery. Technical documentation lists 0.4 m/s in Daily mode and 0.6 m/s in Efficient mode. The Q1 family is promoted as capable of covering up to 1,000 m² per day under manufacturer test conditions, but Q105 itself remains the 500 m² recommended-area model. Real time on the lawn depends on grass height, density, turns, slopes and travel between zones.

Noise, rain and protection

Roborock technical data lists 59 dB(A) measured sound power LWA and 51 dB(A) sound pressure LpA for Q105. The mower body and charging station are IPX6, the RTK reference station IPX5 and the battery charger IP67. A rain sensor can send the mower back to the dock. IPX6 still does not make wet-slope mowing a good idea; traction and turf damage remain mechanical limitations.

European launch-price context and warranty

At the Polish sales launch on 27 April 2026, Q105 was announced at about €850. Treat that as a launch reference, not a guaranteed current street price. Roborock's limited warranty lists two years for the Q105/Q110 main unit and two years for the battery; blades are consumables. Check the exact bundle, current PreciEdge price and local service channel before ordering.

Who should shortlist Q105?

The strongest use case is a lawn up to 500 m² without extreme slopes, where wire-free setup, obstacle avoidance and app control matter. Q105 becomes especially interesting when a small garden still has multiple zones or narrow passages. On a simple flat rectangle, some of the AI features may add less real value.

Q105 looks like a strong first wire-free mower for a small garden. Its main value is the combination of RTK/VSLAM and stereo vision in a relatively light 12.2 kg machine. I would not buy it for extreme terrain, and I would not assume PreciEdge is included without checking the exact bundle.
