Segway Navimow i205 AWD

Segway Navimow i205 AWD is the entry model in the i2 AWD family. It targets roughly 500 m² and combines all-wheel drive with EFLS positioning based on Network RTK and vision. The idea is to give a small domestic mower some of the terrain capability associated with larger AWD machines without moving into flagship pricing.

500 m² and AWD at €899

Segway Navimow Europe lists the i205 AWD at €899 and i208 AWD at €1,099. The variant was marked sold out when checked, so the listed price should not be confused with immediate availability. Polish stock can also depend on local partners.

i205 uses a 2.55 Ah battery. Segway states around 60 minutes of mowing, 60 minutes of charging and roughly 125 m² mowed per charge. That is less energy reserve than i208, but the 500 m² target area can be completed across multiple cycles.

Network RTK plus vision, no local reference station

EFLS NRTK combines network RTK corrections with VisionFence. Segway claims centimetre-level positioning and automatic mapping without installing a local RTK reference station. NRTK access itself is advertised as lifetime-free and the cellular data required for NRTK are included without extra charge.

Integrated 4G for remote app control, alerts and GPS tracking has separate terms: the first year is free, then renewal is listed at €29.99 per year. “Free NRTK” and “free 4G” therefore refer to different services.

AWD, zero-turn and 45% slopes

Navimow specifies a 45% (24°) maximum slope. AWD with all-terrain tyres is intended to improve traction, while the Xero-Turn steering wheel enables tight pivots with less turf scuffing. Segway also lists a roughly 4 cm vertical obstacle capability under test conditions.

VisionFence is marketed for more than 150 obstacle types. i2 AWD uses a five-blade disc, an upgrade from the earlier i1 family. Sound level is 59 dB(A) and ingress protection is IP66.

No local RTK antenna does not mean no GNSS

Navimow markets antenna-free setup, meaning no user-installed local RTK reference station. The mower still relies on satellite positioning. Vision is intended to support localisation around trees and buildings. As with every hybrid system, real resilience depends on sensor-fusion quality rather than the number of technologies named in the brochure.

Who is it for?

i205 AWD is very interesting for a 500 m² lawn where the owner wants virtual boundaries, more traction than a typical small mower and a sub-€1,000 official EU price.
