Best Robot Vacuums 2026: Picks by Home and Floor Type
Decision update · 17 October 2026
The best robot vacuum is one that completes your route.
This guide starts with your home rather than a universal winner. Shortlist by the hardest constraint: low furniture, thresholds, dock space or daily maintenance. Only then compare cleaning results and cost.

| A condition that may change the choice | The 88 mm figure is a two-step 45 + 43 mm arrangement under manufacturer conditions; body height is 79.8 mm. The listed body height is 79.8 mm. The advertised 79.5 mm entry relies on limited component compression; the manufacturer warns that scraping may occur. We do not use that lower figure for planning. The plumbed dock is shorter but has separate installation requirements. | 89 mm with VersaLift retracted and 111 mm raised; maker figures are 42 mm single and 60 mm over two steps. 89 mm applies with VersaLift retracted; with the sensor raised the height is 111 mm. A space that only accommodates the lowered mode remains conditional. The tall dock also needs room for tank removal, which its enclosure height does not specify. | Distinguish 79.5 mm with the sensor retracted from 102.8 mm when raised. The advertised 8.8 cm double-step figure does not mean an 8.8 cm vertical single step. Measure the threshold profile and spacing, not just its total height. | The 40 mm claim is for a double-layer threshold; the mechanical arm does not change the published robot dimensions. Body dimensions do not describe the working envelope of the deployed arm. The selector checks travel clearance, not whether manipulation is possible under furniture. Check supported objects, the arm working area and manual restrictions separately. | Dock dimensions include the base. The 24 mm figure is for one threshold; 40 mm is stated for staged thresholds and tracks. The manufacturer distinguishes dock depth without the base (335 mm) from depth including it (493 mm). Our floor footprint uses the complete base. Do not transfer these dimensions to another X11 dock. The bagless container still needs access for emptying. | Dimensions come from Narwal’s comparison table; a separate support article states total obstacle crossing up to 40 mm. | The EU specification lists a 371.5 × 484 × 440 mm dock, while the comparison lists 14.63 × 19.06 × 18.28 inches, implying a different height. We cannot establish whether this is an accessory, variant or table error. The model stays in the catalogue with geometry calculations explicitly withheld. | The German specification lists 96 mm with DToF lowered and 119.6 mm with it raised. Dock enclosure dimensions are 433 × 420 × 470 mm. We do not turn a maximum obstacle claim into a guarantee for an unknown threshold. Check access for roller and tank maintenance too. |

3 models compared
We do not pick a winner from an advertising maximum. Exclude a model that does not fit the working space; compare the rest by upkeep, exact bundle and a quotation for your country.
Build a shortlist in five minutes
Draw a route from the dock to the furthest room. Mark the lowest piece of furniture, hardest threshold and one area needing manual touch-ups. Exclude models whose known dimensions prevent access. Keep missing evidence marked as unconfirmed rather than passed. Select two or three remaining machines in the comparison tool.
Choose by the problem you need to solve
For low furniture, seek a verified operating height and check the moving sensor. For thresholds, require the obstacle geometry rather than a maximum number. In a small home, include dock maintenance space in the footprint. For hair, carpets and dried stains, use a trial with comparable dirt; body dimensions cannot establish cleaning effectiveness.
When should you stop comparing?
Once two models meet the physical conditions, compare a week of work: interventions, touch-ups, brush cleaning and dock servicing. Then compare complete delivered price, consumables and available support. Do not pay for a feature you will not use. The three models initially displayed are a starting shortlist, not the podium of a RoboMorrow hardware test.

The useful comparison at a glance
| Home priority | Shortlist | Useful distinction | Before ordering |
|---|---|---|---|
| Very low furniture | Dreame X60; Roborock Saros 20 | Published low-profile heights of 79.5 and 79.8 mm. | Measure the lowest brace and leave clearance margin. |
| Raised or two-stage transitions | X60; Saros 20; X50 where its geometry is sufficient | Active chassis systems have different operating limits. | Measure each step, spacing, surface and approach. |
| Regular hard-floor mopping | MOVA Z60 Ultra Roller; Narwal Flow; ECOVACS X11 | Cylindrical rollers and rolling-track mops are not identical. | Check water-path cleaning, carpet protection and spare parts. |
| No disposable dock bags | ECOVACS X11 OmniCyclone | Cyclone container replaces routine bag changes. | Container and filter cleaning still remain. |
| Pets and carpet | Saros 20; X60/X50 after a carpet check | Brush access, anti-tangle design and auto-empty path. | Look for evidence matching your actual hair and carpet type. |
| Previous flagship at a meaningful discount | Dreame X50 Ultra Complete | 89 mm retracted height and a comprehensive service dock. | Compare a live, like-for-like offer rather than launch price. |
| Small flat or several floors | Needs audit before a flagship | Size and ownership workload may matter more than peak runtime. | Dock space, carrying between floors and unused features. |
1. Start with measurements that can rule a robot out
Measure furniture at its lowest internal support, not just the visible front edge. Include rugs, uneven floors and protruding fittings. For thresholds, record the height and width of each stage, the spacing between them and the approach available to the robot.
Dreame lists 79.5 mm for X60 with its sensor retracted, while Roborock lists 79.8 mm for Saros 20. A 0.3 mm difference is not a sensible universal purchasing verdict. Either can unlock areas that a taller model cannot reach, but actual clearance and navigation behaviour decide the outcome. X50’s 89 mm retracted profile is still sufficient for many homes.
2. Threshold maxima need the correct geometry
An advertised two-stage total is not permission to cross one vertical wall of that height. Dreame separates X60’s single-step claim of up to 4.5 cm from its two-stage claim of up to 8.8 cm. X50 is specified differently, up to 4.2 cm for one step and 6 cm for a two-stage obstacle.
Roborock also describes a defined two-layer arrangement for Saros 20. Compare that geometry with your doorway instead of adding catalogue numbers into a league table. A photo and measurements of the hardest transition are useful questions for a supplier. A floor plan that is easy for X50 does not automatically benefit from the newest chassis.
3. Dreame X60 and Saros 20: shortlist, then compare
Both deserve consideration when low furniture or complicated access is the main constraint. Suction and object-recognition figures are manufacturer specifications; they do not establish a common-test cleaning winner. Compare exact mop architecture, carpet handling, dock space, app behaviour and service support.
Saros 20 and Saros 20 Sonic are not interchangeable names. Check the exact model in a shop listing and do not transfer one variant’s mopping system to the other. Our Saros 20 versus X60 comparison is the next step once both pass the home-fit check.
4. X50: value depends on today’s real gap
The previous flagship does not stop being useful when a new model launches. X50 still combines its ProLeap mobility system, retractable sensor and automated dock. It becomes a rational alternative when those capabilities already meet the household’s needs and the actual purchase-and-ownership cost is lower.
Do not assume an old promotion is still available. Compare equivalent bundles, seller, local warranty and accessories, including the meaning of Complete. The X60 versus X50 guide explains which upgrades change usable coverage rather than merely improving a specification.
5. Mopping systems: keep the designs separate
MOVA Z60 Ultra Roller uses a cylindrical roller with clean-water refresh and wastewater removal during operation. Its carpet-protection mechanism is part of the buying assessment, not a reason to ignore rug thickness or permitted settings. Check how easily the roller and water path can be cleaned manually.
Narwal Flow uses a rolling-track mop rather than the same cylindrical-roller design. The common idea is refreshing the cleaning surface during work; the mechanical layout and consumables differ. This guide refers to Flow, not automatically to a later Flow variant. Confirm the exact generation and local kit before using a specification.
ECOVACS X11 adds OZMO Roller 2.0 to a different dock architecture. None of these designs can be declared universally better than rotating pads or a vibrating mop without comparable evidence on the relevant floor and stains. Maintenance access and carpet protection are as important as the mechanism’s name.
6. Bagless X11: a different maintenance trade-off
X11 OmniCyclone replaces disposable dock dust bags with a cyclone container. That removes one recurring purchase but not container, separator and filter cleaning. Consider dust exposure while emptying and whether you prefer that routine to replacing a sealed bag.
ECOVACS describes PowerBoost top-ups during service stops. That may be relevant to a large continuous floor plan, but it is less persuasive for a small flat where either candidate finishes comfortably. Buy the dock arrangement you prefer to maintain, rather than equating bagless with maintenance-free.
7. Pets, carpets and clutter
For hair, look beyond the headline anti-tangle claim. Main-brush ends, the side brush and the auto-empty channel all need access for inspection. A dense fur clump and a few long hairs pose different problems. Carpet pile, fringe and loose rugs should be checked against the manual.
Obstacle-recognition category counts do not guarantee safe avoidance of every cable or toy. Remove fragile loose items and avoid deliberately testing hazards. Where cameras or remote viewing are present, review privacy controls and disable features you do not need. A feature should earn its place by solving a problem you actually have.
8. Audit the dock before comparing prices
Automatic emptying, mop washing, drying, detergent handling and tray cleaning are separate functions. Measure the station footprint and the space needed above it to remove tanks. Include dirty-water disposal, filters and access to the cleaning tray in your weekly routine.
A high pad-washing temperature describes a process in the station, not necessarily floor-contact temperature. Follow the flooring manufacturer’s care rules and approved cleaning products. Compare a realistic ownership basket: bags or cyclone upkeep, pads or rollers, filters, brushes and local service. There is no useful universal cost estimate without actual prices for those parts.
9. Small homes and multiple floors
A flagship can be worthwhile in a small flat when a specific constraint requires it: a very low sofa, difficult transition or important mopping task. A huge battery and station have little value by themselves when the route is short.
Multi-floor mapping does not transport the robot or its station upstairs. Work away from the normal dock can change emptying and mopping convenience. Compare one carried flagship with simpler devices on separate floors, considering total cost and space rather than assuming one arrangement is always better.
10. A useful first-week evaluation
Use a normal but safe household workload. Check access under furniture, the difficult doorway, ordinary meal debris, edge coverage and carpet settings allowed by the manual. Keep track of rescues and minutes spent on the dock or brushes.
Repeated intervention at the same obstacle matters more than an impressive catalogue maximum. Do not manufacture a showroom-perfect test or intentionally leave hazardous cables and objects as traps. Decide whether the robot completes the job you bought it for with an acceptable maintenance burden.
RoboMorrow verdict
Low-furniture and threshold constraints point toward X60 or Saros 20; a genuinely cheaper X50 can still fit the home better economically. X11 is the bagless-dock alternative. MOVA Z60 and Narwal Flow broaden the mopping choices with different mechanisms. Shortlist two compatible models, compare actual local offers and ownership routines, and do not substitute Pa or a fictional review score for that decision.

Roborock Saros 20
The 88 mm figure is a two-step 45 + 43 mm arrangement under manufacturer conditions; body height is 79.8 mm. The listed body height is 79.8 mm. The advertised 79.5 mm entry relies on limited component compression; the manufacturer warns that scraping may occur. We do not use that lower figure for planning. The plumbed dock is shorter but has separate installation requirements.
Open model profile →Roborock Saros 20 Sonic
The 88 mm claim applies to a 45 + 43 mm two-step threshold, not one vertical edge.
Roborock Saros 20 Flow
The combined 88 mm requires a two-step geometry matching the manufacturer test conditions.
Roborock Saros 10
79.8 mm with LDS retracted and 93.5 mm raised. The 40 mm threshold is a 30 + 10 mm arrangement.
Open model profile →Roborock Saros 10R
The manufacturer specifies up to 40 mm for a double-layer threshold and no separate single-edge figure. Identify the dock first: the standard unit is 488 mm high; Refill & Drainage is 300 mm. A shorter enclosure does not make the variants interchangeable. We use the global product specification, not the inconsistent inch-based robot dimensions in the Polish shop table.
Open model profile →Roborock Saros Z70
The 40 mm claim is for a double-layer threshold; the mechanical arm does not change the published robot dimensions. Body dimensions do not describe the working envelope of the deployed arm. The selector checks travel clearance, not whether manipulation is possible under furniture. Check supported objects, the arm working area and manual restrictions separately.
Open model profile →Dreame X60 Max Ultra Complete
79.5 mm with the VersaLift sensor retracted and 103 mm raised; 88 mm applies to a two-step obstacle.
Dreame X50 Ultra / Complete
89 mm with VersaLift retracted and 111 mm raised; maker figures are 42 mm single and 60 mm over two steps. 89 mm applies with VersaLift retracted; with the sensor raised the height is 111 mm. A space that only accommodates the lowered mode remains conditional. The tall dock also needs room for tank removal, which its enclosure height does not specify.
Open model profile →ECOVACS DEEBOT X11 OmniCyclone
Dock dimensions include the base. The 24 mm figure is for one threshold; 40 mm is stated for staged thresholds and tracks. The manufacturer distinguishes dock depth without the base (335 mm) from depth including it (493 mm). Our floor footprint uses the complete base. Do not transfer these dimensions to another X11 dock. The bagless container still needs access for emptying.
Open model profile →ECOVACS DEEBOT X9 PRO OMNI
The manufacturer states obstacle clearance up to 20 mm. Dock dimensions include the base. The exact model page is confirmed, but the retrieved source does not supply a complete dimensions table. We do not borrow X8 or X11 measurements. Until a manual or manufacturer confirmation is available, the selector does not decide fit or provide a dock template.
Open model profile →ECOVACS DEEBOT T80 OMNI
Official material confirms a 3.86-inch (about 98 mm) body and about 20 mm threshold; other dimensions remain blank without a source.
Narwal Flow
Dimensions come from Narwal’s comparison table; a separate support article states total obstacle crossing up to 40 mm.
Open model profile →Narwal Freo Z10
Not the Freo Z10 Ultra. Narwal’s support article lists the standard obstacle limit as 20 mm.
Open model profile →Narwal Freo Z10 Ultra
The product page states obstacle crossing up to 4 cm without a separate single vertical-edge limit.
Open model profile →Narwal Freo Z Ultra
Dimensions follow Narwal’s L × W × H table; the standard published obstacle clearance is 20 mm.
Narwal Freo X Ultra
Dimensions and the 20 mm limit come from official Narwal support materials.
Narwal Freo X Plus
This is a compact charging dock, not a full wash-and-empty station. Narwal lists the standard 20 mm threshold.
eufy Robot Vacuum Omni E25
Official support confirms E25/E28 dimensions; no threshold limit is assigned without an explicit maker specification. The Polish product table and EU comparison on the E28 page give different E25 dimensions. That is not a sound basis for a close-fitting recess template. We withhold geometry calculations and the PDF instead of choosing a convenient number. Ask for the complete dock dimensions of the exact SKU.
Open model profile →eufy Robot Vacuum Omni E28
E28 uses the same robot body as E25 but a larger station. Threshold clearance remains blank without an official number.
Dreame X60 Ultra Complete
Distinguish 79.5 mm with the sensor retracted from 102.8 mm when raised. The advertised 8.8 cm double-step figure does not mean an 8.8 cm vertical single step. Measure the threshold profile and spacing, not just its total height.
Open model profile →Dreame Aqua10 Ultra Roller Complete
Height changes from 97.5 to 120 mm with sensor position. Do not substitute the Track variant or Aqua10 Roller without Ultra. Beyond dimensions, check access to the roller and water channels. Roller lifting is not a guarantee that every carpet stays dry.
Open model profile →eufy Omni E28
The EU specification lists a 371.5 × 484 × 440 mm dock, while the comparison lists 14.63 × 19.06 × 18.28 inches, implying a different height. We cannot establish whether this is an accessory, variant or table error. The model stays in the catalogue with geometry calculations explicitly withheld.
Open model profile →MOVA P50 Pro Ultra
Dimensions are from the manufacturer’s US product page. They do not prove electrical compatibility, warranty coverage or an identical European bundle. The template identifies that market. Obtain exact-variant confirmation before commissioning cabinetry for a Polish purchase.
Open model profile →MOVA Z60 Ultra Roller Complete
The German specification lists 96 mm with DToF lowered and 119.6 mm with it raised. Dock enclosure dimensions are 433 × 420 × 470 mm. We do not turn a maximum obstacle claim into a guarantee for an unknown threshold. Check access for roller and tank maintenance too.
Open model profile →How to read the result?
Fits dimensionally means the entered measurements match, not that the product was tested. Conditional requires a further check. Rejected identifies a mismatch or unsafe setup. Missing data is not a pass. A two-step claim never becomes a single-edge limit.
